Rain Images

Tides that move me

You are awesome beauty
Your handsome face
and rugged mountains merge
Unsettling images that
spill themselves into me
Rain into streams now
rivers then, your imagination
courses, clefts valleys,
turns fields rich in my mind

And me, a shifting tidal sea
I too want to wash
along your shores
flow over and through you
And then drift out again
Leaving you changed
in your own capacity
to change. Inspiration
a gift returned and
yet kept.

Your patterns of thought

Raindrops sprinkled on windows,
tall grass billowing in the wind!
Your patterns of thought are miracles to me

You lay them so gently on my mind,
and yet they tear my consciousness
send shards of light to my soul

Reaching the essence of me,
anoints and inspires, turns
broken nights rich in our subtle communion

Wind to Me

You are wind to me
you lift my spirit, free
Yes, and penetrating rain
your images fill me, alive again
