Day 20: Reflection

Today we're going to step back and review.

Look across each day's work (from the past 19 days), and

  • draw out concepts related to systems. You might look for core systems concepts (like parts and relationships), but also consider the ecology of systems and how systems come into being, evolve and thrive, and so forth. (When I've done something like this on paper, I've put the concepts on a separate sheet of paper and cut them out, so I can arrange them more easily. Of course this is emulating a digital concept map on Kumu or a mind map on Miro. etc., but with paper.)
  • identify the lenses we've used in system seeing (perceiving, understanding, ..) and the "moves" (like zoom out, zoom in) over the past 19 days.

Consider what else you 'd like to add (in terms of concepts, and lenses or moves).

Jot down some Questions you have (about what you're learning about system seeing, and/or the situation you're exploring), and think about (and jot down) what you'd do next, in this exploration.

Lastly, what topic would you like to add, as the focus of another page on your System zine (will do this on Day 21)?
